Two Sailors find their Home in Maine

Our story starts on a tall ship in New York City

Kazimier and Korina met while sailing on a tall ship during summers in New York Harbor. Our passion for sailing ships eventually brought us to Maine, where Korina worked in the windjammer fleet and Kazimier worked at Boothbay Harbor shipyard restoring the Ernestina Morrissey. We quickly fell in love with the sea, the land and the community here in Maine and decided to put down roots and purchase our first home. Through the renovation of our 1840s farmhouse, we developed a strong process for working together, and are excited to now offer design + build together as a service.

Kazimier Buozys

Kazimieras has a decade of carpentry experience, from frame to finish carpentry for new construction, fine cabinetry and millwork, shipwright experience and historical renovations.

Korina Buozys

Korina has a Bachelors in Fine Art from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC where she studied fashion and accessories design. Korina ran her own sailcloth bag company, Eighth Belle for eight years. She has extensive design experience in product development and styling. Korina has experience in branding and graphic design, and recently worked in marketing for an architecture firm. She has an excellent eye for color and style, and has enjoyed bringing all her previous experience together to design interiors and homes. Korina is also skilled in artisanal wall textures and finishes - including hand painted lime wash and hand troweled plaster finishes.
